The Virginia Home for Boys and Girls (VHBG) is a nonprofit organization devoted to helping children in crisis and their families heal and thrive. Originally founded as an orphanage, VHBG now uses trauma-informed, relationship-based, cognitive-behavioral methods to provide living services, specialized education, and therapeutic resources to youth with emotional and behavioral health concerns. To make this work possible, VHBG relies heavily on community generosity and support, as public funds cover only a portion (roughly 50%) of its program fees.
