What are Life Teen & EDGE Summer Camps?
Summer Camp is a weeklong summer camp experience sponsored by Life Teen International and takes place at the two camps owned and operated by Life Teen, Inc.
It is a week full of fun, high adventure, prayer, reflection and more! We will be attending two camps simultaniously during the same week: Camp Hidden Lake for middle schoolers and Camp Covecrest for high schoolers.
Who Is Camp Hidden Lake & Camp Covecrest For?
EDGE Camp Hidden Lake is open to all rising 6th, 7th, and 8th graders and graduated 8th graders. Life Teen Camp Covecrest is open to all rising 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders and graduated 12th graders. Spots are limited for each camp, so make sure to register early!
When and Where?
EDGE Camp takes place at Camp Hidden Lake in Dahlonega, GA. Life Teen Camp takes place at Camp Covecrest in Tiger, GA. We will leave at 8:00am on Sunday, July 23rd from the Youth Center and arrive back at the Youth Center around 11:00pm on July 29th.
How Do We Get There?
St. Michael will be traveling down with St. Edward and St. Bridget on two coach buses; middle schoolers on one bus, high schoolers on the other. The two buses will make travel stops together on the way down and then head to the respective camps in Georgia. The two camps are about an hour apart from each other.
What Is the Structure of Summer Camp?
Each summer camp's staff plans, prepares, and facilitates the programming, liturgies, and activities for each day. A week of camp includes daily Mass, opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, adoration, and other beautiful prayer experiences. Our evening sessions, led by a dynamic speaker, will break open scriptural topics to lead your youth into a more authentic encounter with Christ. All of this takes place alongside low and high ropes courses, an obstacle course, messy games, and swimming in the lake. Each day, campers will enjoy three delicious meals and a night-time snack with their parish. In addition, the campers at Camp Covecrest will participate in a "day away" experience where they will go white water rafting with a local company. More information will be provided as we get closer to camp week!
