Respect Life is a cluster of ministries at St. Michael which affirm, support, and share the sanctity and beauty of life, from conception to natural death (from “womb to tomb”). These ministries include Walking with Moms, which advocates to pregnant and parenting women in need; the Foster Care and Adoption Ministry, which supports and educates families who are interested in or who are currently fostering or adopting a child; various ministries to nursing homes (Our Lady of Hope Ministry and Elizabeth Adam Crump Health and Rehab), and the Homebound which affirm and support those who are aging or otherwise unable to leave home, continue to connect them to Christ, especially through the Eucharist, and more!
Respect Life Ministries
Walking with Moms
St. Michael has joined the nationwide, parish-based initiative Walking With Moms In Need to increase support for pregnant and parenting mothers in need. It works to ensure that any woman who finds herself unexpectedly pregnant, or parenting in difficult circumstances, can turn to her local Catholic Church and be connected with the resources she needs.

Foster Care & Adoption Ministry
The foster/adopt ministry is designed to wrap around the foster and adoptive families in our parish, providing them with material support, prayer, and love. As a parish family, they not only support these families, but also provide education about foster care and adoption and encourage families to consider foster and adoption themselves.

Crump Manor Ministry
The Crump Manor Ministry touches many aspects of the lives of the women and men, who reside at the Crump Manor Nursing Home. The ministry brings Eucharist to the Catholic residents every weekend. Volunteers also play bingo with the folks once a month on Sunday evening. The staff and the residents respect and appreciate the time the people of St. Michael spend with many of the residents— all encounters make a difference whether it be a short visit; saying a prayer with them; or just holding a hand. This is a great ministry for all, including families with children.

Homebound Ministry
The Homebound Ministry connects those who are homebound to the larger St. Michael parish community. Our parish has Eucharistic Ministers available to bring communion to those who are recuperating from surgery, experiencing medical problems, or are otherwise temporarily or permanently unable to come to church.

Caring Callers Ministry
The mission of the Caring Callers Ministry is to be the face of Christ, to one another, through meaningful outreach - both to everyone at St. Michael and beyond. Their purpose is to keep in touch with others, live in the truth of our connection as one Body of Christ (the Church), be a caring voice in each other's lives, and to share with one another.
