Fallen from health to awful sickness My life has moved toward its end As this terrible affliction has grown I have sadly lost all family and friend
I am so alone, shunned, put out No one comes near but the ill ones No one here can cure this malady And soon my painful life will be done
Oh I lament what to me has happened Separated from all and now reviled And so I have had to join the lost Those put out and away to exile
As my body so slowly leaves me My mind and heart soon follow And I long so for any contact All my feelings now are so hollow
No one ever now comes or cares No one wants to see or hear No one brings food or clothing As my life slowly fades away, I fear
And yet today there comes a Man One who they all say can cure Oh I cry that this is really true As my end is now marked for sure
And yet to us he now so comes We’re all together yet so alone As near and close as no one has ever In his holy presence so safe, at home
His eyes, his eyes I now see and feel The care I’ve longed for is truly there The love in his voice to us sings out As we beg out loud for his healing care
We have no chance, no hope we say Yet in him we feel power from above In his voice a soothing feeling comes In his eyes so deep a peace and love
And so now on our knees we fall Offering ourselves, begging him to heal We bring all our nothingness to him And now his mercy we truly feel
We have no other choice left Our lives are a creeping end No love have we felt until now Yet this man comes as friend
Never has one yet so approached So close and with such love As he looks upon us and breathes A warmth penetrates from above
Such a feeling of peace and calm A true feeling of holy embrace Like a flowing stream of cooling water Washing us deeply in this lonely place
Oh praise God what has now happened As we were told that it could Our bodies and minds are now healed And we run to the temple as we should
To show now ourselves to all as clean Our joy to all be revealed My life returned and renewed My wounds now truly healed
They all have run to their homes Yet first to him I must return To thank this Holy Man of God For my heart with joy does burn
I alone have returned to this Yesua The others’ lot I do not know But my healing is truly from him And back to him I must now go
In thanks for his power and love At his feet I now fall and pray I cannot return to my former life As the others who’ve gone away
I must give him thanks and praise Still smiling with love reaching out Raising me up in holy embrace Of this Man the Messiah I have no doubt
Dear Jesus, I will always follow To listen and praise in all I do I’ll be with and near you always As I owe all of my life to you
