We Are a Hearing Loop-Enabled Church!
Our parish now offers a hearing loop
for hearing-aid users and cochlear-implant wearers.
Flip your hearing aid's telecoil switch and immediately hear more clearly without background noise. This system takes sound straight from the sound system and delivers it right into the listener's hearing device and without extraneous background noise.
St. Michael Parish has installed this system underneath our new carpet under the CHAIRS ONLY in the Worship Space. While you may benefit from it in the pews, superior listening will occur in the chairs in the Worship Space.
Do you wear hearing aids or have a cochlear implant?
All you need to do is switch your hearing haid or cochlear implant to T, or hearling loop program. All but the very smallest modern hearing aids tend to be supplied with this internal-coil or telecoil. However, it might not have been activated when the device was originally programmed. If you are unable to find this setting, please ask your audiologist for assistance.
If your hearing aids to not have a T-coil built into them or you have difficulty hearing but do not wear hearing aids, you can still benefit from using the system.
A personal listening device is available for your convenience. We currently have four devices available for use. Just ask our Hospitality Team for one, and they will be happy to provide one for you.
