Caring Callers Ministry
Ministry Coordinator

The Caring Callers Ministry is in need of a Ministry Coordinator. The Coordinator's role is to oversee, train, and ​periodically recruit ​volunteers. The mission of the Caring Callers Ministry is simply to be the voice of Christ through meaningful outreach on the phone. A caller's purpose ​is to be ​a constant and caring presence in the life of another. If you have extra time, the gift of conversation, and ​a heart ​for outreach, prayerfully consider this leadership role.

Crump Manor Ministry
Ministry Coordinator

Elizabeth Adam Crump & Health and Rehab Ministry, a sub-ministry of Respect Life, is in need of a Ministry Coordinator. The Coordinator will oversee and periodically recruit volunteers and minister to Crump Manor residents.

Newcomers Ministry
Orientation Facilitator

Looking for an outgoing, warm, and welcoming volunteer who does not mind speaking in front of a group to help with conducting our Newcomers Orientations.
 

• These casual orientations take place once a month (alternating Tuesday night and Sunday morning between Masses).
• Orientations last about an hour.
• You will be given an outline of topics to cover (but you are encouraged to make it your own!).

Haiti Twinning Ministry
Volunteer Grant Researcher

The ministry is looking for a Volunteer Grant Researcher to seek out opportunities to acquire funding in support of the ministry.

Funding is needed for such things as:

• school books
• teacher laptops
• lap equipment for the health clinic
• water system PVC piping replacement
• road maintenance

Coal Pit Ministry
New Volunteers

The Coal Pit Learning Center provides an enriching, full-day preschool program to children from low-income families to help them develop the foundational academic and social skills needed for future success.

Through the years, our parish has been assisting Coal Pit in multiple ways, including providing lunches once a week the students, Christmas gifts, and other assistance.

We would like to offer more help in the classroom:

• Volunteer Substitute Teachers (application and background check required)
• Volunteer Teacher Assistants (HS students invited to earn service hours)
• Mystery Readers and Craft Helpers
• Provide Lunch to Students

Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP)
Volunteers (Intake Line)

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) here at St. Michael Parish continues to receive a very high volume of calls for assistance. To ​help our neighbors in need in a timely ​manner, ​SVDP needs your help.

Help those in need, without ​leaving home! Can you spare a few hours a month to help ​check the SVDP Intake ​phone line? Training will be provided.
