Reflect on some of the ways your giving can take shape.
Your Sunday Offering helps take care of ministry here at our parish, the day-to-day operations, so we can be present to those we meet. Your directed ministry-specific giving reaches the broader community through our parish operations as home base. Be inspired by how you can share in the Kingdom of God by your generous giving.
Thank you for helping build the Kingdom!

iGiveCatholic Giving Tuesday - December 3
Mission Forward. Our Parish Fall Mission was a tremendous success, and you have shown us you want more speakers, events, music opportunities to engage and learn about our beautiful Catholic faith. You speak and St. Michael, your parish, listens! This year, we again are embracing future parish missions during iGiveCatholic on Giving Tuesday. Unite, give back, Give Catholic, and watch the ordinary become extraordinary. Mission it forward!

Kroger Community Rewards Program Set your rewards account to St. Michael Parish as your charitable organization, and let our parish benefit from your Kroger purchases.
IRA Use your IRA to donate. Consider a Qualified Charitable Donation (QCD) to fulfill your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). You potentially could minimize any increased tax liability if you took the distribution as income, reduce the balance in an IRA to lower future RMDs, and give a larger gift, because AGI limits are not in effect for a QCD. Appreciated Securities When donating securities to a charity, you usually can take a tax deduction at the fair market, up to the amount allowed by the IRS. In addition, you would not have to pay the capital gains taxes you would, if you sold the stock and then donated it. St. Michael works with Davenport & Company to make this happen. Appreciated Securities
Donor-Advised Funds Establish and use a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) for your charitable giving and designate St. Michael Parish as one of your charitable beneficiaries.
Bunching Explore what your donating impact would be to bunch your 2023 and 2024 donations together this year. You just might exceed your 2023 standard deduction and then be able to itemize! You could return to the standard deduction in 2024. This may open potential to lead to larger total deductions over two years instead of taking two years of straight standard deductions. Bunching
