Legal Information Network for Cancer

LINC helps people apply for public benefits, effectively use leave policies, manage debt, appeal denials of insurance coverage for treatment, prevent eviction and prepare legal documents such as wills and medical directives. LINC has relationships with local, regional, state-wide and national resources. Partners include attorneys, financial planners, hospital staff, doctors' offices and community agencies. These partners provide pro bono services to low income cancer survivors.

If you have been diagnosed with cancer and would like to receive a copy of LINC's "Steps the Newly Diagnosed Cancer Patient Needs to Take to Avoid Financial Disaster," or a handbook with information about health care, keeping your job, what to do when you can't work, dealing with creditors, planning for the future, or custody issues, call 804-378-LINC.

Please call this same number if you are in need of assistance.
