Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
One of the most important ministries to the Roman Catholic liturgy is the Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. Each weekend, 85 – 90 ministers are scheduled to serve the St. Michael community. Ministers receive extensive and ongoing training and are scheduled according to their preferred Mass time (usually twice per month). The requirements to serve in this ministry are: being a fully-initiated Catholic good standing (have received the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation, and, if you are married, your marriage must have been blessed by the Church); and, be a registered member of the Parish.
