Communion/ReconciliationFirst Holy Communion and First Reconciliation
Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist is a joint process for third graders and their parents. We are introducing Our Sunday Visitor's "Call to Celebrate - Reconciliation and Eucharist" which recognizes and builds on the fact that the primary people to prepare children for these sacraments should be their parents. Children will participate in classroom based learning with a catechist as well as home based learning with their families. In order to be eligible for sacrament preparation, the children must be enrolled in a regular faith formation option (classroom, home school or FIRE program). Sacrament preparation is IN ADDITION TO THE REGULAR FAITH FORMATION PROGRAM. Each sacrament will require parents to attend an initial orientation gathering with their child where they will be introduced to the curriculum and the preparation process.
If your child is eligible, you can enroll them for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion preparation on the regular Faith Formation Registration Form.
Classes are being offered at the following times:
- Wednesday 6:15-7:30pm (Jan and April/May)
- Thursday 4:15-5:30pm (Jan and April/May)
