Way to go "Yankee's" and I do not mean the baseball team! Yes, I was born in the North, Queens, NY to be exact. I graduated from a Catholic high school, and that, along with my parents, provided me with a great faith foundation. My college degree is in the field of Gerontology (which helps me work with the current administrators here at St. Michael)!!!
God has blessed me with a devoted husband Dave, of 24 years and 3 children, Justin, Katie and Jonathan -all of whom are now teenagers, which explains all the continuing growth my gray hair.
I have worked at St. Michael for a little over 8 years. I was thrilled to be hired as I always felt a "call" to work in a church setting. I have not been disappointed. The "exciting part" is that no two days are ever exactly alike. I have applied advice I received when I was hired, to both my profession and personal life: The Holy Spirit always allows you to get done whatever it is that really "needs" to be accomplished that day and the rest was just items that could, were just not as important as we thought. The members of our parish never fail to offer help and support at the times I seem to need it the most-and for that I am most grateful.
I do have to tell you that although that the pastor signs my checks I work for the church, I work for you! That makes me "want" to come to work each day and I consider it an absolute privilege. Thank you for this opportunity.
May you always be able to listen and "hear" the Spirit alive in your life, be sure to listen and say YES!
