Tom Kaczmarek was born in Milwaukee WI, spent his formative years in Waynesboro VA, graduated from High School in Roanoke VA and attended VCU in Richmond, where he attained a bachelor's degree in Music Theory and Composition. He is currently finishing up his studies at Notre Dame and hopes to complete work towards a Masters Degree in Theology/Liturgy in the summer of 2008.
After freelancing as a musician, accompanist and piano teacher in the area, Tom became the liturgical accompanist for St. Michael CC in January 1994, where he had become a registered parishioner in 1992. He has since become the full-time Director of Musical Ministries. Tom has published articles and music and is constantly striving to learn and improve the skills needed to master the many facets of liturgical arts. He resides in Rockville with his wife Lori and sons Jack (4) and Sam (2). His daughter Macy is a local vocal coach, singer and production assistant at an area recording studio. Tom enjoys digging in the dirt, thinning out the trees on his overgrown property, golfing with friends and any time he gets to spend with his family.
