I am a native of Northside, the seventh of nine children. I was fortunate to have good people watching over me and ended up attending St. John Vianni prep seminary. My passion for the Catholic Church is evidenced by my being an altar boy at an early age.
I married my high school sweetheart and we have been happily married for twenty-eight years and have three children; John and Kristy are grown and for now at least out of the house. Anthony is nine years old and keeps us both very busy with soccer, driving golf balls and social activities. We live in a home we built twenty-two years ago in Manakin-Sabot. My wife, Karen, works full time and also is in charge of the Baptism ministry here at St. Mike's.
I have been a deacon for ten years and love every minute of it. My involvement with St. Mike's goes back to the very beginning. Previously, I worked construction for nearly thirty years and in December of 2006 did a complete about face and became a full time Pastoral Associate here at St. Mike's. Until this most current renovation of the church I was without an office and now ramble around in mine and smile all day long!
