Andy Ferguson is a native of Annandale, VA, where he was a member of the original St. Michael Catholic Church of the Diocese of Richmond! He attended Bishop Ireton High School, and has degree in elementary education from the College of William and Mary. After teaching 5th grade for nearly five years, he returned to graduate school, and in 1984 he was hired as a career counselor at the University of Richmond. In 1989 he was named director of career services at UR.
In 1993, Andy and his family joined St. Michael. They have fond memories of the early days of worship at Short Pump Middle School and in the parish hall. In 1999, he began formation for the diaconate, and was ordained in 2003. In 2005, he left the University of Richmond to become the director of administration at St. Michael.
Andy is married to a physician, Dr. Jennifer Ferguson, and has a 17 year old son, Drew. Andy and Jenny have been married for 27 years. They have spent most of that time working on a two-career marriage. They will let you know when they finally get it right!
