Born December 4, 1950 in Lynchburg, Virginia. He attended Holy Cross Catholic School for twelve (12) years, and graduated in 1969. He graduated from Central Virginia Community College in 1971 and from the University of Virginia in 1973 with a BA in Foreign Affairs. Richard married his wife Connie in 1973, and along with their children Jennifer and Nathan and their families, have been members of Saint Michael's since 2001.
Richard has worked in the financial services industry his entire career, first as a commercial banker, then as a Chief Financial Officer for several private and public companies and currently in the real estate finance industry as President of Maycor Financial Group, Inc., a diversified real estate finance and residential mortgage lender.
Over the years, Richard has been active in community affairs. His involvement has included various committees at Saint Mary's Catholic Church, member of the current Saint Michael's CRHP Formation Team, Chairman of the United Way of Greater Richmond's Budget & Allocation Committee, President of the Richmond Chapter of the University of Virginia Alumni Association, Chairman of the Virginia College Building Authority and President of the West End Richmond Civitan Club.
